It just checks to see if all the files you downloaded are not corrupt.
If you want to check the files, install RapidCRC, click on the file and it should tell you if the files are ok.

one more question, i downloaded mario kart double dash and unzipped the files, then got a file of 1.4 gb, is that the image that i have to burn on my dvd ? and i got an nfo. file didnt know what to use it for, its my 1st burn so id appreciate all the help

The NFO is just an info file which gives a description of the game, just disregard it.
(If you want you can use DAMN NFO Viewer to open it if you want)

Yes, the image is suppose to be 1.4GB in size.
