Hello. *quietly approaches from shame corner* Sorry if this isn't in the right subforum for a question like this, but I'm super confused!
I downloaded Dolphin for gamecube emulators, and downloaded a ROM. I watched a YT video (or 3) on how to extract the files, which should as a result produce an iso file. This is not the case. D: After extracting the file, it produces a gcm, nfo, pnr, 2 winrar files (each containing another gcm), & an sfv. I'm not sure if there's a step I missed or what, considering I've never heard of any of those file types to begin with.
Thank you in advanced for your help and tolerance. Using GBA emulators seem to be infinitely easier.
GCM is a Gamecube Media file which is basically an ISO. Personally I rename my GCM files to ISO, but basically they are the exact same thing. The SFV is a file that allows you to verify the contents of the download completed properly and there wasn't any missing data that would cause any errors. NFO is just the info file.
Just a clarification as well, ROMs are usually pertaining to cartridge games, anything on a disk is considered a disk image, ISO, etc.
