It includes playable demos for five games: Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, Soulcalibur II, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, and Viewtiful Joe. Hey guys, torturelabs here.
That goof, who learned when to shut the fuck up on this site. haha :v
How you guys been?

Let me start by saying this...
I thank each and every one of you who has contributed to this site, up-loaders as well as people who help others and those who run the site.
Also, people who contribute some form of (on-topic) talk in the sub-forums/misc.

The years spent here were great, and I like that allot of us continue to come back here... hoping or just curious to know if this site continues to exist on the internet
Yay! It's alive, my heart content with the site that brought me some of the best laughs, help and roms - still up and running!
... if only for a moment I rejoice at the fact.
It's really sad to see it die slowly, and people migrate.

I would like to say I gave back to this site in a big way, but honestly, I have taken more and was sadly unable to help many at times.
I'll still come back every now and then as long as it's up.

THAT SAID, I think there's still potential for this site, we just need to find out what we want to share.
We could all maybe contribute ideas; new site-name suggestions, different ranking system, new rules, rom limitations or misc requirements like upload and keep a rom up in order to sign-up and stay, etc.
Something that of course, would coax Rooskie into lending us a hand here and there :p
If someone has a 'vision of a new website with all sorts of interesting material' we can collaborate and create it. At least I'M up for it!
Let us know how we can help - Whether it be donations to keep the site running, design or otherwise.
I'm not giving up on this site that easy!
Maybe I'm being a little melodramatic, but hey, I'm sure many agree with me :)

Who knows if the reason for the site being a bit broken on the 'reply' and 'unread' sections is because of maintenance to make the site better or just a glitch or other, but I just thought I would voice my thoughts :)

If you would like to leave any STEAM, IRC, ORIGIN, E-MAIL, TWITTER or whatever you use online 'the most' feel free to do so, so we can all keep in touch.
Whatever you feel comfortable giving out.
STEAM: I'll type it up once I get my account back.

Could you guys help me find something similar, something with a 'puffy/thicker' look like that.
All others I found looked as thick as cardboard :/

GameCube Help / Wind Waker SDML issues
« on: April 09, 2013, 10:17:36 PM »
Quote from: digijedi569
On Zelda Wind Waker I get this message;

"The game cannot be saved.
The device inserted in Slot A is not a Memory Card. Please insert a functional Memory Card in Slot A."

Also to note, I'm booting Wind Waker directly from the sd card using SWISS.dol, because when I tried using IMGBURN to burn the .iso to a mini dvd-r, it either messed up the burn somehow, I'm not sure, because I burned at 2x speeds, made sure the .iso was at 1.35gb, and that I used good quality RitaData mini dvd-r's.

I just ordered a gamecube memory card from Amazon, but it won't be here until Monday next week, and I'd like to find a fix tonight so I can play Wind Waker, thanks everybody.

I saw a lot of your answers relating to the sd media launcher from a lot of the google searches I did, I hope I'm not bothering you.
No personal data was released in your PM, so I'll use you as an example.
I just want to start off by saying this to not only you, but others who require assistance from me.
It really bugs me that you guys just sign up just to PM me, please don't do this.
I'm not mad and it's not against the site rules, but personally it bugs me.
So, guys please, ask for me in IRC (we could set-up Skype or chat) or sign-up and at least introduce yourself if you're going to be part of the community.
Thanks ;-)

As to your question(s);
The reasons it most likely failed when you tried to run the burned copy was because your laser pot wasn't adjusted properly to read backups.
You would need to do this first in order for a physical copy to work.

Whether you downloaded my Starter Pack or not, your SDML should be in SLOT-B at all times.
The only exception being when you want to run AR cheats, which requires swapping, which believe it or not is safe to do at any point.

My questions / Other thoughts;
Are you trying to save without a memory card? Explain this part:
"The game cannot be saved.
You know, since you're ordering one.
From what I gather you're trying to save with the SDML itself, which is not possible.
Then again, you're ordering one, so you'd assume (if it were possible) the 2GB would be more than enough to save with.

Where you originally planning on making a thread?
, thanks everybody.
If so, you should'va done so.

General Chat / Wii Mini launching December for only $99
« on: November 27, 2012, 04:53:24 PM »

Nintendo Makes The Wii Mini Official: $99, Lacks Internet And GameCube Compatibility, Canada-Only
It’s rare that we here in Canada get exclusive access to devices, especially from big manufacturers like Nintendo. But that’s apparently what the Wii Mini is, which first surfaced this morning on Best Buy’s Canadian website. Nintendo has officially detailed the Wii Mini, which will retail for $99 starting December 7, and is described as a gaming-only system that lacks Internet connectivity.

So for users of the current Wii, that means you won’t the same level of access to Netflix and other web-based content, and it likely leaves out downloadable Wii classic console titles, too. Instead, it looks like Nintendo has opted to create a budget machine for gamers interested strictly in playing Wii games, which could turn out to be a very wise move in positioning the budget console as an alternative to the Wii U that doesn’t really have the bells and whistles necessary to compete with the newer generation device for consumer interest. Nintendo seems to be trying to avoid cannibalizing its own product, in other words.

Field testing apps in the Canadian market on mobile software platforms is a pretty standard move these days, and this could be a hardware version of that. Nintendo says that “no information is available about its potential availability in other territories in the future,” and that could be because this is a test to see how consumers react to its concurrent availability with the Wii U, and what effect it ultimately has on sales of both consoles, before potentially introducing it in the U.S. and Europe.

Random / What did you dream last night?
« on: November 03, 2012, 03:12:14 PM »
We all dream even if we think we did not.
Our dreams can be an insight into what we really think about something/someone.
They can be really strange at times... be funny, or romantic haha
Well, enough about that, this topic is for sharing your dreams in as much [or minimal] detail as you remember.
Draw us a picture if you think it better explains it.
Do not type or draw if it's not in NSFW

My first post is not as exciting as I had hoped...
I was actually planning on making this sooner with a stranger dream.

Saturday - November 3, 2012
Our minds were teleported to a place where we could fight monster really quickly with guns and powers.
[I assume I was thinking about BioShock, it's one of the games I'm playing at the moment :p]
I killed a few and went back into my mind as did the others.
The teacher said that our exam was complete and handed us our scores.
To the right was my brother, to my left a random Asian guy who was somewhat fat and wearing glasses.
I looked down at my score, I had failed, I felt some disappointment, that's how I knew.
The score was a square, grayed out on one end (3/4)
The guy next to me whom I did not know got a %100 -1 (with two squares one grayed out 1/4 and the other 3/4) whatever that means.
[Oh, torturelabs, you stereotyped >:3]
My brother ripped his notes from a binder I was carrying.
I was not part of the class so I left, I was just there to pass the time for something.
[Who knows what this something was...]
As I walked down the stairs from the second floor one of the steps broke, I got a little scared but kept moving.
Below people were playing basketball.
Someone kept throwing balls at me as I walked towards the field.
I grabbed one and threw it far away.
They got mad and started following me towards the field.
I turned around and one of them came up to me and said 'What's your problem dawg, you want to get down?'
They were all a bit taller than me.
I responded "You're throwing balls at me, apparently you're the one with the issue, you do something about it if you have one."
He got close and punched me, I hit him twice back and broke his nose somehow.
He started bleeding, I gloated with my hands up stating "Booyakasha!"
[Could this be my past? and why the hell was I referencing Ali G :p]
One of them took out a knife and I started running away, yelling "Don't be a bitch, put down the knife and fight like a man."
He chased me for a while and my dream ended.

Random / C/C++ code lol's
« on: September 17, 2012, 02:01:08 AM »
Anyone else know how to code?

I'm learning C++ and made this:
It basically counts down and then gives a message.

Double click on the program, insert a number (maybe 90000/ no commas) and watch it do it's thing.
Or you can just make it close after the countdown by adding a + at the end off the desired number.

I tested this at my class that I go to on my free time, my friends thought it was real, they ran out of the class after me haha

I'll upload more, once I get more advanced :p

Added music and icon ^

Added a shutdown function and added second line - re-worded some things.

Just realized I forgot to disable the buttons and task manager, meh :I
